Having always been passionate about choosing a career centered around helping others, my journey into counselling began after 8 enjoyable years in the Human Resources field where I have been able to use my skills daily to build strong and trusting relationships, be a listening ear and encourage individuals to feel empowered and confident to make positive changes in their lives.
As a personal advocate for the benefits of talking therapies and the profound impact they can have at the most difficult points in ones life, I made the decision to undertake training to enter into the Integrative Therapy field where I could bring experiences from previous occupations and my academic qualifications to add value to those seeking to invest in their own mental health.
In my practice, I place a great deal of importance on the cultivation of a strong, trusting and supportive relationship between myself and my clients as I believe this is the key to doing successful and meaningful work together. I have an informal working style and encourage collaboration, challenge and authenticity throughout our working relationship.
Registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), whose Ethical Framework I adhere to in all areas of my therapeutic practice (Registration No. 395603).
